Band Practice

The NCCPB practices on Sundays at Longs Peak United Methodist Church in Longmont. Practice generally runs as follows:

  • 4:00pm-5:00pm: Piping and drumming lessons.
  • 5:00pm-6:00pm: Group practice. Pipers and drummers split into groups. Pipers play practice chanters, not bagpipes. This time is used to refine skills, learn new tunes, and discuss band business.
  • 6:00pm-7:00pm: Full band practice. This is the best time to arrive for those interested in booking or joining the band.

Anyone interested in joining, booking the band, or just learning about the band is welcome to attend. While we meet most weeks, we do cancel occasionally for holidays or breaks; contacting us first to make sure we are meeting can save you a trip when we aren't there!

We are currently looking to bring in experienced players of all types! Alternatively, we have lessons every week and love teaching new players.
